IN THE DAILY REPORT: SUCCESSFUL TRIAL AGAINST COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE CARRIER

Butler Tobin recently tried a case in Clayton County, Georgia against a commercial motor vehicle carrier named R.J. Haynie & Associates and an unknown driver called “John Doe.”  The trial was a success–on the first day of trial, the carrier agreed to pay our client $460,000 to settle the case, which was over 13 times his past medical bills.  Although the case ended in a mistrial after closing arguments (because two jurors got into a personal fight that disrupted the proceedings), the questionnaires that the remaining jurors filled out showed that Butler Tobin was likely to win against “John Doe” as well.

The Daily Report, Georgia’s premier legal periodical, ran a story on the case.  You can read it on the Daily Report’s website or here on our website.
