Please Place the Cookie Back in the Jar: Federal Courts and Inadequate Sanctions

Judges can and should put a stop to discovery abuse.  The remedy is changing the cost-benefit analysis of violators.  Unfortunately, the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Haeger v. Goodyear was a step in the wrong direction.
